Mrs. Sandy Gardner, 64, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2017 in her sleep at her home in Glendale, Arizona. Sandy was born in New York on February 15, 1953. In 1996 Sandy moved to Glendale with her family, leaving behind her beloved Brooklyn because of health reasons. Sandy graduated from New York University with a Bachelor degree in nursing, a career field that she practiced for over 40 years in several different places all over the world. Mrs. Sandy Gardner, 64, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2017 in her sleep at her home in Glendale, Arizona. Sandy was born in New York on February 15, 1953. In 1996 Sandy moved to Glendale with her family, leaving behind her beloved Brooklyn because of health reasons. Sandy graduated from New York University with a Bachelor degree in nursing, a career field that she practiced for over 40 years in several different places all over the world. After retiring from nursing Sandy continued her love of adventure and travel with her husband Mac. They loved to travel to visit family and friends all over the country and taking cruises to the Mexican Riviera. They loved going to Las Vegas where they were married; visiting all of their favorite places such as; Brooklyn, El Paso, Los Angeles and Disney World. Sandy never lost her love of the medical field and was constantly reading and learning anything new that she would to add to her already extensive knowledge of the medical field. Sandy is survived by her husband Mac Gardner; their adopted children Anthony and Faith Pugliese, and Robert and Sheila Yi; Cousins Marian and Brain Bowen; very close friends Jean and Christ of Dayton Nevada; and their baby poodles Juliet and Romeo.
Visitation for Sandy will be Saturday May 13, 2017 at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary in Glendale, Arizona at 11:00 am in the Garden Chapel.
